Good climate for everyone*

Under the motto "Good climate for everyone*" we worked together with young people from the Toni-Sender-School from Frankfurt/Main at the beginning of June.

The climate crisis is a social crisis that raises questions of justice. All* are affected by the change in the long term, but not all equally. People who are already most affected by climate change are often those who have contributed the least to it. Many people around the world are therefore demanding climate justice for all*!

In the seminar we dealt with the distribution of wealth and CO2 emissions and the legacy of colonialism. Above all, we focused on the decades-long intersectional struggles against climate injustice in the Global South. Based on this, we considered what a good life would mean for everyone*, also in concrete terms here on site. The Hochtaunus Area is severely affected by increasing weather extremes such as water shortages and forest fires. Therefore, we visited a Community Supported Agriculture, Stolze Gärtner, and worked there. Healthy food is produced there in a way that conserves resources and the environment, in solidarity with the farmers. In the course of the seminar, the participants also learned more about content production for social media and, at the end of the seminar, created posts for Instagram on the subject of climate justice. These can now be admired on our @polbil_basa account.

The event took place as part of the AdB program "Political youth education in the AdB" and was funded by the BMFSFJ with KJP funds.
