The youth of Friedrichsdorf has elected a new youth representation (JVF)! The 11 representatives are between 13 and 18 years old and hold office for two years.

In January 2023, the JVF started their term of office with a seminar weekend from 27-29.01.2023 in cooperation with the political education of basa e.V. The seminar weekend gives the elected representatives continuously the opportunity to explore their autonomous scope of action and to reflect on their role as representatives. The elected representatives were not only able to get to know each other better and transfer knowledge, but also to take their first steps in their work. In a playful way, the young people learned what representation means and how negotiation processes can work. In addition, the JVF defined initial topics and goals for its term of office.

The JVF represents the interests of the youth of Friedrichsdorf vis-à-vis the organs of the city in all matters concerning children and young people. In addition, current topics as well as wishes and ideas of the Friedrichsdorf youth are discussed in their public meetings.
