Politics? What does that have to do with me?

In cooperation with ASB Lehrerkooperative Bildung und Kommunikation in Frankfurt/Main, we held a workshop on politics and participation for young adults on their way to graduation and training.

Politics often appears as something distant and abstract. The first images that come to mind are usually people in suits sitting in the Bundestag in Berlin. But politics is much more than that and we are all part of political negotiations. Using interactive methods and games, we approached our own relationships to politics in the workshop. Using examples from family, trade unions and school, we discussed how politics affects our everyday lives and what forms of political participation we have already experienced. It became clear that everyone* is familiar with current political issues and everyone* has something to say about them.

Many thanks to the ASB teachers' cooperative and the participants!
