In cooperation with the Verein zur beruflichen Förderung von Frauen e.V., we held a workshop on politics and participation for young mothers.

Politics often seems like something distant and abstract. The first images that come to mind are usually people in suits sitting in the Bundestag in Berlin. But politics is much more than that and we are all part of political negotiations. In the workshop, we used interactive methods and games to explore our own relationships to politics. Using examples from our families, daycare centers and schools, we discussed how politics affects our everyday lives and what forms of political participation we have already experienced, from family discussions and parents' councils to demonstrations. It became clear that everyone* is familiar with current political issues and everyone* has something to say about them.
