Politics – What’s it got to do with me?! Educational seminar for young women*
Starts: 8 June 2026
Ends: 9 June 2026
Frankfurt/Main
Political participation is a frequently used term, yet its implementation excludes many people. Voting in elections is just one form of political participation. In Germany, political participation is supposed to be guaranteed for everyone. However, participation is not only made possible by rights but is also influenced by other factors. Infrastructure, education, and economic status are also necessary to enable political participation. Social structures and power dynamics play a significant role in the participation of marginalized groups in political affairs. In this context, women* continue to be excluded from political spaces and participation in decision-making processes.
This seminar aims to encourage young women* who are in a phase of orientation and transition in their lives to recognize the everyday nature of politics, discuss possible courses of action, and explore these options for themselves.
